Welcome the 8th annual RE/MAX Offices of Central Oregon Wing Ding Gala and Golf Classic being held at Sunriver Resort's Homestead, followed by a day of golf on the championship Meadows Golf Course, located within Sunriver, Oregon. All proceeds benefit the truly amazing organization, Sparrow Clubs USA. On behalf of the RE/MAX Offices of Central Oregon we would like to extend you an invitation to join us in our continuing support of the Sparrow Clubs of Central Oregon. We raised over $100,000 for the Sparrow Clubs at last year's event!
As you may know, Sparrow Clubs USA is the only youth-based charity using the powerful service-learning model of kids-helping-kids in medical need. Through sponsorships by local individuals and businesses, Club Kids can “earn” up to $10 for every hour of community service they perform for their Sparrow family. Kids are finding a sense of purpose, empowerment, and belonging in the process
Last year, over 30 Central Oregon schools -- elementary, middle and high school -- adopted a local child in medical crisis. Time and time again, we see how these kids band around a family who is going through a difficult time, and how they truly make a difference with the love and support that they offer. The bottom line: Sick kids get help, healthy kids become heroes, and schools become sanctuaries.
It is with this spirit, that eight years ago the
RE/MAX Offices of Central Oregon joined forces to organize an annual auction and golf tournament to benefit the
Sparrow Clubs in Central Oregon. The event brings together hundreds of supporters, golfers, and business leaders throughout the community and the Pacific Northwest. The 2008 Wing Ding Benefit Gala & Golf Classic, benefiting the
Sparrow Clubs, will be held in Sunriver on May 30th & 31st, 2008. The
Wing Ding Gala will take place at the Sunriver Resort’s Homestead room on Friday, May 30th at 6pm, complete with an elegant dinner, live and silent auction, and live entertainment. The
Golf Classic will be held on the Meadows golf course in Sunriver on Saturday, May 31st. The Golf Classic will conclude with an awards luncheon and closing reception.
Background: This will be our 8th year hosting this premier event where Northwest RE/MAX agents, management and community members come together for an elegant gala, golf, camaraderie and good will. Started in 2001 as primarily a networking event and golf tournament for Northwest RE/MAX agents by RE/MAX Sunset Realty of Sunriver, the tournament quickly grew into a popular annual event. RE/MAX Sunset Realty was joined by the other RE/MAX Offices of Central Oregon in 2003 to make the event much larger and for a great cause, benefiting the Sparrow Clubs USA. Together, we all make this event happen every spring.
Last year, we raised over $100,000 for Sparrow Clubs USA with the help of our players, sponsors, donors and volunteers! Help us reach our goal of $125,000!
Goals & Objectives: Our goals and objectives are simple.
1) In keeping with RE/MAX International goals and objectives to better serve the community we live in, Central Oregon RE/MAX offices are combining their efforts again this year to help support Sparrow Clubs USA. Our goal is to raise $125,000 to support the work of kids helping kids with medical needs.
2) To offer Northwest RE/MAX agents and management the opportunity to visit Sunriver, golf and network with each other.
3) To continue raising the level of cooperative involvement of Central Oregon RE/MAX Offices resulting in mutually beneficial ventures within all areas of Central Oregon RE/MAX real estate.
